UNITED NATIONS - CITES
Challenge:
Under the umbrella of the United Nations (UN) Secretariat, CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement between governments. Its aim is to ensure that international trade in specimens of wild animals and plants does not threaten the survival of the species.

Owner, Cortni Witherspoon was tasked with creating a brand identity for CITES that incorporated brand values and placed importance on the animals protected under the convention.​
​Solution:
Acting as a subject-matter branding expert, the first task was to engage in project discovery and to intimately get to know CITES and its mission and vision. The final color palette was taken from the colors of the Conure - one of the protected animal species. An orange graphic bar which may or may not be used with a tagline represents the straightforward, fact-finding, evidence-based approach of the CITES organization. It also emphasizes caution, as in the caution which should be taken when conducting the trade and sale of CITES-protected species. The final result is a refined, look and feel which
